Director of Business Development, Middle Market - NYC


Position Description:
As the Sales Practice Leader you will be responsible for building and managing our middle market practice, selling to company clients with revenues ranging from sub-$50million to over $500million.  As a member of the Business Solutions team you will be actively involved in setting and achieving personal targets as well as contributing to the future direction of the team.

We are looking for a self-motivated, heavily experienced, energetic person to prospect, sell and develop our client base. The ideal candidate will be experienced in using a consultative sales approach to generate and close new business opportunities within our target markets.
Responsibilities:
·        Meet monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets
·        Execute on your own account plans and quota objectives
·        Identify, hire, train and manage great candidates to build out the middle market BD team
·        Collaborate with the VP of Sales on sales campaigns driving new business
·        Nurture existing relationships and drive repeat sales
·        Maintain knowledge of the market and industry trends including competitors

Requirements:
·        BA/BS is a requirement; MA/MS, MBA, or  CPA a plus
·        Minimum of 7 years experience in consultative B2B professional services selling;
·        Superior listening skills combined with outstanding written and verbal communication skills
·         Ability to recognize value-add opportunities and offer creative solutions and close business
·         Proven selling skills including probing, overcoming objections, and advocating solutions based on customer needs
·         Creativity, intelligence, and problem solving aptitude and attitude;
·         Dedication to providing the highest level of customer service
·         Solid computer skills; full command of MS Office programs
·         Hands-on CRM experience is a must.
·        Experience in selling professional services to C - level management is a must

               Vice President  Health & WellBeing


The Vice President will lead the account team on the strategic planning and execution of the PR program for one of the world’s leading biotechnology companies.

As a team leader the VP; ensures professional development of self and team members; leads client meetings; manages multiple projects at a time; mobilizes and motivates the account team; participates in new business / organic growth opportunities; serves as a member of the Management Committee.

As a client manager the VP; manages and meets client expectations and goals; develops effective work plans to ensure team success; acts as a trusted partner and thought leader capable of giving senior client counsel on programs and strategic direction; is fiscally responsible and commercially astute.

The VP should be an exceptional relationship builder who understands the importance of developing and cultivating relationships both with the media, clients and agency partners.

In order to be considered for this opportunity a candidate must have a history of and passion for leading public relations efforts for large Rx brands in the infectious disease category. Experience working across other healthcare categories is a major plus, as is having science know how. The successful candidate must have experience and training gained from working at a large public relations agency. Additionally, proven success at the VP level or equivalent is desired
